A local-first observability and diagnostics prototype for GrapheneOS, built to expose useful device state without pretending Android makes every metric available.
Product idea
One local view across scattered Android diagnostics.
SignalScope brings together system information that usually lives across APIs, service dumps and low-level files. It covers process behaviour, thermal state, cellular and Wi-Fi information, storage, battery and power, network sockets, Bluetooth and GNSS observations.
The app is deliberately local-first. Enhanced collectors use Shizuku when available, while ordinary Android paths remain separated from privileged behaviour.
Engineering honesty
The limits are part of the design.
Android does not expose arbitrary RF spectrum, raw modem data, universal hostnames or every internal thermal and GPU metric. Rather than fabricate certainty, the project documents those boundaries and distinguishes working collectors from planned capability.
The prototype also has known hardening work: lifecycle cleanup, bounded shell execution, permission timing, parser tests and architecture extraction. Recording those gaps is part of making the next development step rational.
